Completion of Major Renovation Work on the Dormitories of the Bijar Faculty of Engineering and Basic Sciences

According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, a comprehensive renovation project for the male and female dormitories at the Bijar Faculty has been successfully completed, under the direct support and emphasis of the university president, with the aim of enhancing standards and ensuring student welfare.

Complete Modernization of the Female Dormitory
The female dormitory, located in a leased property with numerous infrastructural issues including a dilapidated sewage system and structural defects, was fully renovated. The project, costing over 450 million Tomans, included a complete repainting, fundamental repair of leaks, installation of new kitchens, CCTV camera setup, a full overhaul of the sanitary facilities, and facade sealing.

Major Overhaul of the Male Dormitory
Similarly, the male dormitory, housed in an old and worn-out building, underwent extensive modernization. This project, with a budget of approximately 1.6 billion Tomans, involved replacing 70% of the windows with PVC models, replacing all room doors, a complete overhaul of the boiler room and electrical systems, and the renovation of sanitary facilities.

These initiatives, completed despite the leased nature of the properties and under the direct mandate of the university president, underscore the university's prioritization of student welfare and comfort.
