Formation of the Health, Safety, and Environment Committee and the Launch of Training and Periodic Inspection Programs at the University

In an effort to enhance the level of safety, health, and environmental quality at the university, a meeting of the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Committee was held with its responsible members. During this session, significant decisions were approved that can play a substantial role in improving the working and educational conditions at the university.
According to the meeting's resolutions, it was decided that HSE committees will be established at the faculty level. With a specialized approach closer to the educational and research environments, these committees will be tasked with monitoring and overseeing safety and health conditions. This measure will be an effective step towards institutionalizing a culture of safety and environmental protection among students, faculty, and staff.

Another key decision from the meeting was the implementation of periodic inspections of all university environments. These inspections will be conducted with the aim of identifying potential weaknesses, preventing hazards, and elevating health and safety standards. It was also decided that this process will be carried out in close collaboration with the university's Monitoring and Evaluation Center to ensure coordination among various units, with inspection results being regularly analyzed and presented in specialized reports.
Another noteworthy resolution was the organization of specialized HSE training courses for students, faculty members, and staff. These courses will be designed to align with the educational or professional fields of the participants, enabling each group to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills in safety, health, and the environment relevant to their responsibilities.

The committee members emphasized that the implementation of these programs will not only contribute to improving safety and health conditions at the university but will also pave the way for enhancing the quality of the academic environment and creating a healthier, more efficient space for scientific and research activities.
These resolutions demonstrate the university's serious commitment to elevating HSE standards and moving towards a safe, healthy, and sustainable environment—an initiative that can serve as a model for other higher education institutions in the country.
