In this laboratory, the goal is to develop new systems based on newest science for food processing. For fruit and vegetable drying process, In this laboratory, different types of dryers such as combined infrared-hot air continuous dryer, microwave dryer-hot air, solar recycle flow dryer, freeze-infrared dryer and Vacuum-sun dryer were developed and examined. Also for fruit juice concentration, the vacuum ohmic and microwave system were investigated.

The laboratory of renewable energies and bioenergy was established in 1399 by the staff of renewable energy department of Biosystems engineering. The renewable energy lab is one of the most essential laboratories that the students in this branch need to spend their practical units and their thesis in this laboratory. In addition, the students are introduced to a variety of new systems and technologies used to harness new energies.
|
In this laboratory, it is possible to measure the intensity of solar radiation, production of artificial radiation, biogas extraction, evaluation of solar drying process, evaluation of the efficiency of solar desalination systems, etc.
