Current Research and Research Opportunities

Various research projects, in the form of faculty research initiatives, Master's theses, and doctoral dissertations, are currently underway in diverse fields of agricultural economics. These studies encompass areas such as agricultural production economics and farm management, with a particular focus on the specific and strategic products of the Kurdistan province; optimal and sustainable cropping patterns for various farms and regions within the province; virtual water and the sustainable management of water resources in agriculture; agricultural insurance schemes; natural resource and environmental economics and ecosystem services; marketing and branding; and the development of the value chain for agricultural products.
