Educational and research activities of the Faculty of Agriculture started in 1992 and after two and half decades , the faculty plays a key role in agricultural education in Iran and Kurdistan Province. The presence of 70 full-timea nd young faculty members in various educational groups, laboratory facilities, farms and research greenhouses has led to a wide range of educational and research activities in various fields of agriculture.At the time being, 49 programs are offered in three degrees (BA,MA,Ph.D.) by 9 departments in our faculty. Both training and research are undertaken at the highest professional level and wide ranges of agriculture-based scientific courses is offered to graduate and postgraduate students. The faculty’s mission is to develop resources and technology to provide contemporary and future needs of the agricultural sector of Kurdistan province, to advance and disseminate knowledge and to provide advice and guidance in the field of agriculture for sustainable economic development.
